Celebrating Diversity at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts


If you thought the only place you can experience culture is in a big city, then you would be surprised to know that culture is blooming just outside of Toronto in the town of Richmond Hill. In September of 2003, the Town of Richmond Hill approved to turn the site of the old Town Hall at the corner of Yonge and Wright Street into the new Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The new 4000 square metre Centre is an attractive cultural destination that will enrich and entertain you. It seats 631 and the facility offers all season of professional entertainment that celebrates Canadian and International talent.


The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts encompass the rich diverse arts community and embraces the diversity of Richmond Hill. It is a world class cultural facility designed by internationally renowned architect Jack Diamond. The construction project cost 30 million dollars and it was the largest undertaken by the Town of Richmond Hill.


Not only is the Centre a theatre for the community, it is a multi-use cultural facility. You can catch the Ballet, be entertained by actors, listen to Jazz, experience the music of an Orchestra, or watch a music concert from international musicians, there is always something going on all year round.
